Decide how to best power the UK with this infographic activity poster!
The UK Government has set a target of 85% of the country's electricity being generated by low-carbon sources (it is currently around half) by 2032.
Challenge students to consider the pros and cons of different power sources, and to work out their own energy mix to reach this goal, with this activity poster.
The poster includes the following energy sources: coal, wind, hydro, gas and nuclear. Each are plotted on a map of the UK with space to record pros and cons as well as the chosen percentage of energy mix they will make up.
If you are looking for something more interactive - the class could play our new Power the UK game, with the same objective as above but a time limit on each level!
