4.2.5 Contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to any applicable laws or regulations.
4.3 Involvement of Children in your User Generated Content ("UGC")
Children can be involved in UGC in a number of ways and you as the producer of the UGC must have due regard to their welfare at all times. Particular care should be taken to avoid causing any distress or alarm to any children involved in your UGC.
You must consider carefully the impact of the UGC on the child involved - both in the way it is made, and any possible impact it may have when made available to the public. This is regardless of obtaining parental consent.
You should consider the nature of the internet in respect of your UGC. In particular you should remember that:
(i) Your UGC may be copied onto other computers or software;
(ii) www.jointhepod.org may be linked by various electronic means to numerous other websites around the world;
(iii) There is no way of monitoring or controlling the numerous websites on which your UGC may appear;
(iv) Your UGC can be copied or transmitted electronically to anywhere in the world; and
(v) Even if you withdraw your UGC it may still be accessible via the internet through other means
4.4 Child Protection
The protection of children is of paramount importance to Wastebuster. When producing UGC, obtain parental consent for ALL children. It is your responsibility to obtain the signed consent of the parent or guardian of any children featured or taking part in your UGC. Consent must be obtained prior to the inclusion of any child and you must keep a copy of the signed consent. You must obtain consent from the child as well as the parent. It is your responsibility to obtain consent from the child and the child's refusal to take part should not be overridden in any circumstances. Throughout the process of making your UGC you should always check that a child remains willing to participate. You must ensure that consent is informed. This will involve your explaining to the child and the child's parent why the UGC is being created, and bringing points (i) to (v) of Clause 4.2 to their attention prior to their consents being granted.
When obtaining consent from children and parents or guardians it is your responsibility to ensure they have fully understood what they are giving consent to. Do not assume that the child, parent or guardian will fully appreciate the consequences of giving consent. You must make it clear to them: the nature of the UGC, its purpose, where it is likely to be used or distributed and how long for what kind of contribution theirs will be, for example, live, pre-recorded, interview, discussion, edited, quote etc., whether the UGC will be edited. You are reminded of the rights granted to us in respect of your UGC under clause 4.1 of these terms, and you should bring these to the attention of the child and its parents prior to their consents being granted.
4.5 Children at Risk
In every school there will almost certainly be children at risk. Children at risk include children and their families who are in hiding, under police protection, whose lives may be at threat, children in the care of social services, children involved in active legal proceedings, or any other children whose personal or family health, safety, privacy or welfare could be adversely affected by their inclusion in any UGC. It is your responsibility to identify who and where these children are. Any pupil who, or whose family, may be adversely affected by being seen or identified or referred to must be completely excluded and must not take part in any UGC you submit. It is your responsibility to ensure this. When filming anywhere in a school you must ensure that any at risk pupils have been excluded from filming or have been absented from class. Also check the classroom for any means or evidence of identifying them, e.g. pupil names on white board, wall mounted class work, art pieces, behaviour charts, etc.
4.6 Child Identification and Anonymity
No child, (not just those at risk), should be identified by both first (christian) and second (family) names in any way (whether on screen, in audio, in writing or otherwise). This applies to names spoken in shot and names heard out of shot. This combination of the full name, with the name of the school, might make a pupil vulnerable to an adult wishing to claim acquaintance with him or her. Beware of giving away a child's identity via a "jigsaw" effect of information in the UGC.
4.7 Indecent Images of Children
In the UK it is a serious offence under the Protection of Children Act 1978 for a person to take, or permit to be taken, any indecent photograph of a child, to distribute or show such indecent photographs, to have in his possession such indecent photographs, with a view to their being distributed or shown by himself or others. What is 'indecent' is a matter for the Court. Nudity is not required to find a photo of a child to be indecent. Particular consideration should be given to whether any UGC showing children in states of undress or in particular attire or poses could be interpreted as 'indecent', for example, in PE and drama classes. If in any doubt do not include it in the UGC. Publication of an indecent picture of a child under 16 is an offence under the Protection of Children Act 1978. You are responsible for ensuring that no indecent images of children are included in any UGC you submit.
4.8 Use of Third Party Intellectual Property in UGC
You are responsible for ensuring that UGC you submit is not subject to the intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copy and design rights) of any third party, or, if it is, that you have obtained all necessary rights from any such third party to permit you and Wastebuster to use that intellectual property for all purposes. You agree to fully indemnify Wastebuster against all costs, damages, expenses and/or losses which it incurs as a result of any claim or potential claim being brought against Wastebuster by a third party which is based on any infringement or alleged infringement of its intellectual property rights.
4.9 Confidentiality and Data Protection
4.9.1 You are responsible for ensuring that your submission of UGC, and Wastebuster's use of your UGC in relation to the Product, does not breach any third party's rights under the Data Protection Act 1998 (as may be amended from time to time) and/or any similar and/or related successor legislation or regulation including (without limitation) any which may arise from REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 applicable to the jurisdiction of England and Wales, nor breach any obligations of confidentiality owed to any third party, and you agree to fully indemnify Wastebuster against all costs, damages, expenses and/or losses which it incurs as a result of any claim or potential claim being brought against Wastebuster by a third party which is based on such a breach.
4.9.2 Wastebuster will use the personal information you provide to us:
4.9.2.1 To supply the Product to you;
4.9.2.2 To process your registration for the Products; and
4.9.2.3 If you agreed to this, to give you information about our products, but you may stop receiving this at any time by contacting us.
5. Warranties and Indemnities
5.1 Wastebuster will use its reasonable skill in making the Product available to you. 6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 Wastebuster will not be liable for any loss you suffer as a result of a breach of these Terms or unavailability of the Product. Wastebuster will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses which are incurred as a result of any breach (such as, without limitation, loss of profits or loss of data).
6.2 Notwithstanding the above provisions of this clause 6, Wastebuster's liability will not be limited in the case of death or personal injury directly caused by Wastebuster's negligence.

8.2 Wastebuster reserves the right to change these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Blog and Gallery Posting Rules, or any other relevant materials, and/or introduce new rules or terms and conditions for any element of the Product at any time. 8.3 Your continued use of the Product after the date on which any change or addition to the Product or the Terms, Privacy Policy, Blog and Gallery Posting Rules or any other change or addition is made shall signify your acceptance of any changes or additions made under Clauses 8.1 and/or 8.2 above.

10. Blogs and Images
10.1 Only teachers and education professionals may post content for inclusion in the "blogs" and the "galleries" sections of the Product (such content being referred to as "Blogs" and "Images" respectively). The posting of all Blogs and Images is subject to the Blog and Gallery Posting Rules shown below these terms.
11. General
11.1 You may not transfer any of your rights under these terms to any other person. Wastebuster may assign, novate or otherwise transfer its rights and/or obligations under these terms at any time without notice.
11.2 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.
11.3 If you breach these terms and Wastebuster chooses to not to promptly enforce these terms or seek any remedy under the same, Wastebuster will still be entitled to use its rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach this Agreement.
11.4 These terms are only enforceable by you and by Wastebuster, no third party shall be entitled to enforce these terms.
11.5 We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so under English law within the United Kingdom
11.6 Headings in these terms are for convenience only and will have no legal meaning or effect.
11.7 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Hidden Treasure Hunt 2025–26 Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Hidden Treasure Hunt 2026 (the "Campaign"). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Definitions
"Campaign" means the Hidden Treasure Hunt 2026, a nationwide e-waste recycling initiative delivered by the Promoter (Wastebuster) in association with Currys, Material Focus, Microsoft, DHL and Ecogenesys, running from 28 January 2026 to 5 June 2026.
"Campaign Partners" means Currys, Material Focus, Microsoft, DHL and Ecogenesys and other operational partners supporting the Campaign.
"Cash for Trash Voucher" means a £5.00 Currys voucher issued to individuals who recycle qualifying items in a Currys store or via a school collection, redeemable against a purchase of £25 or more, subject to Currys' terms and conditions.
"Draw Period" means the start and end date and time (UK time) for each prize draw, as specified on the Campaign website or associated promotional materials.
"Eligible School" means any school located in mainland England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland with pupils aged 4 to 12 years that meets the participation criteria for the Campaign. This Campaign is designed for primary schools and equivalent settings.
"Participating School" means an Eligible School that has registered to take part in the Campaign via The Pod (jointhepod.org/campaigns) and is actively participating.
"Drop Off Point" means any location on the Recycle Your Electricals locator on recycleyourelectricals.org.uk including all UK-based Currys stores.
"Planet Care Points" means points awarded for each registered recycling visit. Each visit earns one Planet Care Point (regardless of the number of items recycled) allocated to a nominated Participating School. These points determine a school's ranking on the School Leaderboard and eligibility for prizes. Planet Care Points have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise, and expire upon the conclusion of the Campaign. Each Planet Care Point also constitutes one automatic entry into any applicable weighted prize draw during the relevant Draw Period, unless otherwise stated.
"Promoter" means Wastebuster CIC (company number: 05883640), whose registered address is The Bothy, Albury Park, Albury, Guildford, Surrey, GU5 9BH.
"School Leaderboard" means a ranking system displayed on the Campaign website that lists Participating Schools in order of the total Planet Care Points earned.
2. Participation and Eligibility
2.1 Eligibility.
The Campaign is open to Eligible Schools and to private individuals recycling their own unwanted electricals and tech on behalf of a school. Businesses, retailers, manufacturers, or other non-household entities are not permitted to use this service.
The individuals' prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over only. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must submit the entry on your behalf using their email address, and any prize will be awarded to that parent or guardian.
Schools and parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children's participation. Where children are to be featured in any publicity relating to the Campaign, the Promoter will obtain appropriate consent from the relevant school or parent/guardian.
2.2 Registration.
Schools: To participate, an Eligible School must register via Wastebuster's school campaign platform The Pod (jointhepod.org/campaigns). Only registered Participating Schools are eligible to receive Planet Care Points and redeem rewards. Planet Care Points only have value in connection with the Campaign and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
Individuals: Private individuals may support a Participating School by recycling at a participating Currys store (being all Currys stores within the United Kingdom), or another Drop Off Point (listed on the Recycle Your Electricals locator found on recycleyourelectricals.org.uk), then registering their recycling visit via the Campaign platform and nominating a school to receive a Planet Care Point.
A maximum of one Planet Care Point can be earned per person per day, regardless of the number of items dropped off for reuse or recycling. Automated, bulk, or third-party entries are prohibited and will result in disqualification. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify duplicate or suspected fraudulent entries.
2.3 Recycling Process and Accepted Items.
Accepted items include anything with a plug, battery, or cable, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, consoles, small appliances, smart speakers, headphones, chargers, cables, and accessories.
Excluded items include large household appliances (e.g., fridges, washing machines, ovens), hazardous items (e.g., leaking batteries, fluorescent lamps), and non-electrical waste or packaging.
Items to be recycled must be household e-waste.
2.4 Manual Registration.
Currys stores will have the Hidden Treasure Hunt recycling registration QR code available on the in-store customer service desk. If you don't have time to complete the registration in store or have no internet reception, you can scan and save the QR code to visit later.
If you forget to scan a Currys store QR code, you can register your recycling visit via the Campaign website on the day you dropped off the items and select the store you dropped off your items.
If you took your items to a Drop Off Point that is not a Currys store, you can register your recycling on: hiddentreasurehunt.org.
You must register your visit within 7 calendar days of the date you dropped off items at a Drop Off Point and within the applicable Draw Period (or Leaderboard competition deadline) to receive Planet Care Points for a nominated school.
Registrations for drop-offs in Currys stores will be eligible for entry into the termly prize draw. Registrations for drop-offs at any other collection point must include an image upload of the collection point to qualify as a prize draw entry. Your image must clearly show the name or signage of the Drop Off Point and the date of your visit. Images that do not clearly show a Drop Off Point may not qualify the registrant for entry into the prize draw of the applicable Draw Period. In this instance, the registrant will be notified and given an opportunity to resubmit the image.
3. School Leaderboard Competition
3.1 How to Enter.
Participating Schools are automatically entered into the drop-down menu in the recycling registration form on hiddentreasurehunt.org to collect Planet Care Points via registered recycling visits. Registrants can select the school they would like to receive a Planet Care Point from their registration.
A maximum of one Planet Care Point can be earned per person per day for a school, regardless of the number of items taken to a Drop Off Point for reuse or recycling. School rankings on the Leaderboard are based on the number of Planet Care Points earned.
3.2 Rewards.
Prizes are awarded based on leaderboard rankings at designated milestones (e.g., 12:00 midday BST on 5 June 2026 and including any other milestone the Promoter determines in their sole discretion from time to time). Rewards may include technology prizes, vouchers, or equivalent items provided by Campaign Partners. If a listed prize becomes unavailable, a prize of equal value shall be supplied.
What prizes and rewards are available?

- 1st place: £10,000 in Currys' prize vouchers for Microsoft tech
- 2nd place: £3,000 in Currys' prize vouchers for Microsoft tech
- 3rd place: £2,000 in Currys' prize vouchers for Microsoft tech

- Recycling at Currys also gives the participants a £5 Cash for Trash voucher (spend £25+).
- Eligible items may qualify for trade-in credit.
Prize Draw Dates 2026:

- Summer term 2026: 1 school (£1,000) + 10 families (£100 each) - awarded Friday 5 June 2026
Total campaign rewards: £20,000
3.3 Conditions.
No purchase is necessary to enter. Entry to all prize draws and competitions is free. The cost of recycling items (if any) does not constitute payment for entry.
All prizes are subject to availability, and no cash alternative is offered.
In the event of a tie on the School Leaderboard, the winner will be the first school that reached the tied ranking.
The Promoter may verify eligibility and disqualify entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, or in breach of these Terms and Conditions. Leaderboard standings reflect validated entries only; adjustments may occur following verification.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes or modify, suspend, or withdraw the competition at any time in its sole discretion. The Promoter will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any material changes via the Campaign website.
Where prize draws are weighted by the number of Planet Care Points or recycling registrations, participants acknowledge that entry numbers may vary between participants and that the probability of winning depends on the total number of valid entries in the relevant Draw Period.
4. School Prize Draws
4.1 Eligibility and Entry.
All Participating Schools that have collected at least one Planet Care Point during a Draw Period are automatically entered. Early adopter draws may be held in the first Campaign phase. Termly school draws will run throughout the Campaign.
Each Planet Care Point earned by a Participating School during a Draw Period automatically counts as one entry into that Draw Period’s school prize draw.
The more Planet Care Points a Participating School earns, the greater the number of entries it will have in the draw, thereby increasing its statistical chance of winning.
There is no maximum number of entries per school, but all entries must comply with the Campaign rules and validation processes.
4.2 Prizes and Notification.
Winning schools will be randomly selected per prize draw to win a Currys' voucher for Microsoft tech that can be redeemed in Currys for eligible products (see section 8.1, Eligible products).
Winners will be notified via the contact email provided at registration within 14 days of the close of the relevant Draw Period. The winner must respond within 14 days of notification and may be required to complete reasonable verification as required by the Promoter.
If the winner does not respond, the Promoter may award the prize to a reserve winner selected at the same time as the original winner.
Prizes are subject to availability, and no cash value is available.
4.3 Conditions.
No school may win more than once per academic year. The prize is non-transferable and may not be resold. No cash alternative is available.
The Promoter may withhold or withdraw a prize where a winner has breached these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter's decision is final and binding.
5. Individuals’ Prize Draws
5.1 Eligibility and Entry.
The individuals' prize draw is open to private individuals who register a recycling visit at a participating Currys store, or Drop Off Point during the designated Draw Period.
Each valid, completed recycling registration made during a Draw Period counts as one entry into that Draw Period’s individuals’ prize draw.
A maximum of one registration per person per day is permitted, but each valid daily registration counts as a separate entry.
The more valid recycling visits an individual registers (within Campaign limits), the more entries they will have and the greater their statistical chance of winning.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must submit the entry on your behalf using their email address, and any prize will be awarded to that parent or guardian.
5.2 Prizes and Notification.
One individual will be randomly selected per Draw Period to win a technology prize, Currys' voucher for Microsoft tech, or equivalent item.
Winners will be notified by email within 14 days of the close of the relevant Draw Period. The winner must respond within 14 days and may be required to provide proof of identity and eligibility. Failure to respond or provide verification may result in disqualification and selection of a reserve winner.
5.3 Conditions.
No individual may win more than once per academic year. The prize is non-transferable and may not be resold. No cash alternative is available.
The Promoter may withhold or withdraw a prize where an entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions or used automated means to enter. The Promoter's decision is final and binding.
6. General Terms and Conditions
6.1 Amendments.
The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on the Campaign website. Continued participation following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
6.2 Publicity and Licence.
By participating, schools and individuals consent to being publicly identified as participants.
The Promoter grants each Participating School a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use Campaign materials for promotional purposes until the Campaign concludes or at an earlier date as determined by the Promoter. Schools may not alter, modify, or amend Campaign branding without the prior written consent of the Promoter.
Winners agree to participate in reasonable publicity related to the Campaign. Where publicity features children, the Promoter will obtain appropriate consent from the relevant school or parent/guardian in accordance with applicable safeguarding and data protection requirements.
The Promoter may publish the surname and county of prize winners on request for a period of 30 days following the relevant draw, unless the winner objects by contacting the Promoter using the details in the Data Protection Notice.
6.3 Intellectual Property.
All Campaign materials (including branding, artwork, videos, and educational content) remain the exclusive property of the Promoter or its licensors and may not be reproduced or modified without prior written consent.
6.4 Liability and Indemnity.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter's total liability in connection with the Campaign shall not exceed £100.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
The Promoter and its partners shall not be liable for:
(a) entries or communications that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, or undeliverable for any technical or other reason;
(b) any failure by a third party to honour its obligations relating to a prize; or
(c) any costs or expenses incurred by entrants in participating in the Campaign, except as expressly stated.
6.5 Data Protection.
All personal information will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The Promoter is Wastebuster CIC, which collects and processes personal data for the purposes of administering the Hidden Treasure Hunt campaign, validating entries, contacting winners, and providing campaign updates. The lawful basis for this processing is the Promoter's legitimate interests in administering the Campaign. Where the Promoter sends marketing communications, it will do so only with the participant's consent.
Where personal data of children (aged 4 to 12 years) is collected, the Promoter will do so only where necessary for the administration of the Campaign and with appropriate consent from schools or parents/guardians. The Promoter is committed to complying with the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code in its processing of children's data.
The Promoter may share limited personal data with Campaign Partners (such as Currys and Microsoft) where necessary to fulfil prizes or support campaign delivery.
Personal data will be retained for the duration of the Campaign and for a period of 12 months thereafter, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Participants have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and object to the processing of their personal data, and to data portability, in accordance with applicable law. To exercise these rights or for further information, please refer to the Promoter's Data Protection Notice at https://recycletoread.org/data-protection-notice/.
6.6 Governing Law and Jurisdiction.
These Terms and Conditions and the Campaign shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute.
6.7 Cash for Trash Vouchers.
Individuals who recycle items at participating Currys stores may receive a "Cash for Trash" voucher in accordance with Currys' own terms and conditions. These vouchers are administered solely by Currys. The Promoter is not responsible for the issuance, redemption, or management of Cash for Trash vouchers.
Voucher issuance and availability are subject to Currys' programme capacity and store participation, which may vary by location and time. For full details, please refer to Currys' terms and conditions.
The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to assist participants in resolving any issues with Cash for Trash vouchers but accepts no liability for their redemption or value.
6.8 Miscellaneous.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
The Promoter's failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and other promotional materials, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.
6.9 Charity Compliance and Free Entry Route.
This Campaign is structured as a free-to-enter prize promotion to support e-waste recycling and educational engagement and is not a lottery. Entry to all prize draws and competitions is free. No purchase is necessary to enter. The cost of recycling items (if any) does not constitute payment for entry.
6.10 Campaign Support Materials (Operational Trial)
(a) The Promoter may provide limited quantities of physical campaign support materials to Participating Schools as part of an operational trial to assess different methods of engaging school communities in electrical recycling.
(b) Campaign support materials are not prizes, are not awarded based on performance, and do not alter the Campaign rules, scoring system, eligibility criteria, or prize selection processes.
(c) All Participating Schools have access to the same campaign content, including digital versions of posters and flyers, which may be downloaded and printed locally by schools. The availability or non-availability of printed materials does not restrict any school's ability to participate fully in the Campaign.
(d) Certain physical materials (including, but not limited to, campaign bags) are being trialled with a limited number of schools due to budget and operational constraints. These materials are supplementary, not required for participation, and not available to all schools.
(e) The Promoter acknowledges that supplementary materials may influence local engagement levels; however, all schools remain eligible to earn Planet Care Points and win prizes on the same basis, regardless of the materials used. No additional weighting, adjustment, or advantage is applied based on the type or format of campaign materials used. The Promoter has endeavoured to distribute materials equitably and acknowledges that not all schools may receive physical materials. This does not affect any school's eligibility to participate or win prizes.
(f) Allocation for the 2026 Campaign will be made subject to availability and registration timing.
- 270 Participating Schools will receive one hard-copy poster pack
- 23 Participating Schools will receive one pack of 280 campaign bags
- 107 Participating Schools will receive one set of 280 campaign flyers
Distribution of materials will be managed by Wastebuster in line with campaign logistics and stock availability.
(g) Campaign support materials have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be sold or exchanged.
(h) The Promoter reserves the right to modify, substitute, or withdraw campaign support materials at any time for operational reasons.
7. Winner Selection and Verification
All prize draws will be conducted using a weighted random selection process, where each valid entry represents one chance of being selected.
For schools, each Planet Care Point earned during the relevant Draw Period constitutes one entry.
For individuals, each valid recycling registration constitutes one entry.
A random number generator or independently verifiable selection method will be used to ensure fairness. Records of the number of entries allocated to each participant and the selection process will be retained for audit purposes for 12 months following the relevant draw.
The Promoter may require winners to provide reasonable evidence of eligibility (e.g., age, residency, school affiliation) and reserves the right to disqualify entries that cannot be verified.

8.2. Selection and notification
Winners must select their preferred item(s) and notify Wastebuster within 28 days of the winner notification email by replying to that email with their chosen product(s), full name, and delivery address.
Winners should ensure their selection is final and suitable for a single transaction up to the prize value.
8.3. Order placement, verification call, fulfilment, and payment
(a) Verification and redemption call.
To redeem the prize, the winner must participate in a Microsoft Teams call with Wastebuster, during which the order will be placed. The call will be recorded solely to evidence the transaction and prevent fraud. By taking part in the call, the winner consents to such recording. The Promoter's lawful basis for recording calls is its legitimate interest in fraud prevention.
If a winner does not participate in a recorded call, Wastebuster may be unable to complete the redemption.
(b) Recording retention and security.
The recording will be stored in an encrypted, access-restricted environment and retained for up to three (3) years for audit and evidential purposes, after which it will be securely deleted. Wastebuster's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection rights apply.
(c) Order placement and ownership.
Wastebuster will place the order on the winner's behalf using the allocated Currys gift card (and any top-up payment, if applicable) during the recorded Teams call. At the point of order placement and payment, ownership of the product transfers to the winner (or to the winner's school, where the prize is awarded to a school). The winner (or school) will receive written confirmation of purchase once the transaction is completed.
(d) Fulfilment, delivery, and after-sales.
All fulfilment, delivery, product warranty, and after-sales service are managed directly by Currys. Wastebuster accepts no liability for the performance, quality, delivery, warranty, or servicing of any products purchased through Currys as part of the prize.
(e) Top-up payments.
If the chosen product(s) cost more than the prize value, the winner may provide valid card payment details during the Teams call to cover the balance. By providing these details, the winner authorises Wastebuster to process the payment solely for that order and agrees to indemnify Wastebuster from all responsibility relating to the redemption, purchase, or subsequent fulfilment of the product.
8.4. Gift card terms
(a) For this promotion, the Currys gift card may be used for one transaction only.
(b) Any unspent balance after that single transaction is forfeited and cannot be carried forward, refunded, or redeemed later. Winners are strongly encouraged to select products that make full use of the prize value, as any unused balance will be lost.
(c) Winners should therefore ensure their product selections make full use of the prize value.
(d) No cash alternative or substitute prize will be offered.
8.5. Non-response or incorrect information
If a winner does not respond within 28 days, provides incorrect or incomplete information, or fails to supply payment details where required, the prize will be awarded to the reserve winner selected at the time of the original draw. If no reserve winner is available, the prize may be reallocated in a subsequent competition rough and at the Promoter's sole discretion.
8.6. Responsibility and verification
Wastebuster is not responsible for any loss, delay, or issue arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by winners. All details must be confirmed by email and may be verified by Wastebuster prior to placing an order.
9. Prize Fulfilment
Delivery of prizes will be based on when the order was placed and product availability unless otherwise specified. All aspects of fulfilment of the products after orders have been placed are the sole responsibility of Currys.
Where a prize consists of items supplied by Campaign Partners, fulfilment timelines may vary; the Promoter shall use reasonable endeavours to communicate any expected delays.
The Promoter is not responsible for any taxes, charges, or expenses arising from prize acceptance except as expressly stated.
If a prize becomes unavailable, a prize of equal value shall be offered.
10. Transparency
A winner's list (surname and county only) for each Draw Period will be available upon request to the Promoter for 30 days following the relevant draw. Winners may object to or request redaction of this information at or before the time of prize acceptance.
For weighted draws, the Promoter may publish (on request) the total number of entries allocated to the winning school or individual for that Draw Period.
11. Promotional Materials
Any imagery of prizes is for illustrative purposes only. Colours, models, and specifications may vary. No additional costs are included other than those expressly stated.
If a voucher prize is offered, the relevant issuer's terms and conditions apply and may include expiry dates, usage restrictions, and minimum spend requirements.
12. Timing and Draw Periods
The Campaign competition period runs from 28 January 2026 to 5 June 2026.
Each Draw Period's start and end dates and times (UK time) will be published on the Campaign website. Entries received outside a Draw Period will not be included in that draw.
13. Conduct
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries or participants who:
(a) tamper with or attempt to tamper with the entry process or Campaign operation;
(b) act in a manner that is unsporting, offensive, or contrary to the spirit of the Campaign (including, without limitation, coordinated mass entries, false declarations, or other conduct intended to gain an unfair advantage); or
(c) submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party rights.
